Cornerstone laid for Voždove kapije project

Construction of the first condominium in Voždovac starts

A cornerstone laying ceremony on the occasion of marking the start of the construction of the first condominium in Voždovac, titled Voždove kapije, was held today with the attendance of representatives of the City of Belgrade, City Municipality Voždovac and the Embassy of Israel.

The charter, which was signed by all senior representatives that made the start of the construction of the residential and business complex possible and contributed to it, was ceremoniously laid into the pre-prepared foundation, and filling it with first shovels of concrete marked the start of the construction.
Mayor of Belgrade Mr. Siniša Mali, H.E. Ambassador of Israel Alona Fisher, president of City Municipality of Voždovac Mr. Aleksandar Savić and Partner Manager of the Voždove kapije project Mr. Gilly Dekel participated in the ceremony and addressed the attending officials.

Partner Manager of the Voždove kapije project Gilly Dekel thanked the attending representatives of local administration and the city of Belgrade and stated: “The Voždove kapije project, which is worth EUR 170 million, represents a continuation of investments of the Israeli company Shikun & Binui Group into the Serbian market, after the successful project Central Garden. Spanning over 70,000 square meters, we will build homes for more than 700 families, setting the standard for comfortable life in the city. Thanks to good cooperation with the representatives of the City of Belgrade and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, we are proud to become the leaders in the real estate market which makes me particularly proud.”“

Ambassador of Israel H.E. Alona Fisher highlighted that she was very proud to see how fast the appearance of Belgrade was changing thanks to all the projects of Israeli investors who are investing into our market. “I am certain that this project would be successful like the previous project of the Israeli company Shikun & Binui Group and I believe that the construction of the Voždove kapije condominium will have a positive influence on the development of the real estate market in Belgrade. The Embassy of Israel will continue to actively support the work of Israeli companies in Serbia with the aim to build as strong as possible business and economic relations and continue our unbreakable friendship.”

Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali stated: “The city of Belgrade is a city that is open to investors, to whom we try to provide the best business conditions, and only in this year, we will initiate projects whose value is over half a billion euro. There are currently 502 construction sites in Belgrade, and their number is growing by the day, which makes me extremely proud because our capital is becoming more modern every day. The construction of the Voždove kapije condominium is exceptionally important to the City of Belgrade and I believe that this valuable investment would further strengthen the traditionally good relations of Serbia and Israel.”

President of the City Municipality of Voždovac Aleksandar Savić expressed gratefulness to the company Shikun & Binui Group which decided, after a successful project such as the Central Garden, to opt to make the second building in this municipality. “It is a great pleasure for us that such a residential business complex will be built in our municipality which we want to present as a municipality that is quickly fulfilling conditions for development and prosperity which was recognized by the investors that wish to invest. I am convinced that the Voždove kapije project will be the pride of our municipality and an example how planned improvements of location and infrastructure can attract investors that have trust in our readiness to make Voždovac one of the prettiest municipalities in the capital.”“

This condominium, which will in the future stand in one of the most beautiful Belgrade municipalities, is spanning 70,000 square meters and is encompassing over 700 residential units with an underground parking space, a retail area on the first floor intended for numerous services, an enclosed private park which spans 7,000 square meters with corresponding content for all age categories.

Behind this project, which is an EUR 170 million investment, is the renowned Israeli investor Shikun & Binui Group, the leading company in the construction of the most modern residential and business complexes all over the world, which presented itself on the domestic market with the Central Garden project.

Exclusive sale of apartments was entrusted to the company CBRE Srbija, the leading real estate consulting company in Serbia.
